Music: Count Us In

Music: Count Us In is Australia’s biggest school initiative. With support from The Australian Government, it has run since 2007 and is all about celebrating the value of music education to students’ development, whoever they are, wherever they are. Each year 1 500 schools sign up to learn, rehearse and perform the same song, at the same time, right across the country. The culminating date for Australia’s biggest sing-a-long is October 29th.   


Music: Count Us In offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a talented young songwriters to have their song sung by over half a million students. This year, five students from around Australia were selected to spend an intense day working alongside mentors Marcia Hines, Tom Diesel and John Foreman to create a wonderful upbeat tune, ‘GOLD’, that uses beautiful imagery and celebrates music.  For more information about the MCUI initiative visit:
