Welcome to Wonga Beach School - where your child's learning always comes first...

At Wonga Beach State School we are lucky - we have a strong family orientation, a supportive community and we think our kids are great! Parents and teachers work in partnership to ensure our children succeed - parents are seen at school doing everything from attending parade to helping in our classrooms, from attending education sessions to helping out with class excursions/camps, and even working in the vege patch and serving in the tuckshop. Together we make a difference, together we want our kids to be the best they can be!

We want our children to achieve and we have:

1. a desire for our children to inquire, investigate and critically evaluate;
2. a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and technology;
3. a focus on respecting prime learning time through initiatives including uninterrupted learning blocks;
4. a desire to promote sustainability and looking to the future;
5. a respect for difference, inclusion and equity; and
6. an atmosphere of respect and trust built on relationships developed as a result of being a small school where we are able to get to know most of our students well.

Wonga Beach School is a well respected school,  and is a school of choice for parents and children.

Our staff are focused on being the best they can be - we know great teaching makes the biggest difference in classrooms. This year we introduced WRAP [Wonga Raising Achievement Plan] and a commitment to making learning the constant in all of our classrooms - with time and support the variables, knowing some children need more support and time to learn or more support to be challenged and engaged at school.  This is an exciting journey for the staff and students of Wonga Beach School.
